The landing beaches

Close to the famous terminal 0 which marked the opening of the road to freedom during the June 6 44 landing, Sainte-Mère-Eglise is the perfect place to discover, from an historic site, the beaches of Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, to visit the AirBorne Museum and to discover the famousPointe du Hoc.

Do not leave the hotel without going in town to see the church where the American paratrooper John Steele (immortalized in the film "The Longest Day") remained suspended to the bell-tower in the night of disembarkation. Exit the Cotentin for a visit to the world famous site of Mont Saint Michel or to explore the city of Caen, its memorial and legendary abbeys.
